The Art of Life

I have always read a great deal, and over the years, I have usually focused on a single nonfiction topic at any one time, first on social sciences, than later medicine/fitness, economics, and now programming, with occasional forays into mathematics. As for fiction, I often read one author at a time, and some past authors read have been Borges, Beckett, and Pynchon, or at times I hve read the recommendations of one professor, Harold Bloom. Like many people, I have my favorite museums, with special affection for The Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, particularly for its reviews of modern design, and The New Museum of Contemporary Art, with its quirky but emotionally warm pieces, although two of my favorite exhibits were Contemporary Japanese Textiles and The Un-Private House, both at MOMA. |
